01

What I collect

When you use TrackSense, I collect your Apple Music listening history (play counts, songs, albums, artists), an anonymous user ID to keep your data tied to your account, and basic usage data such as how you interact with the app and crash reports. I do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information.

02

How I use your data

Your listening data is synced to Firebase, Google's cloud platform, so your stats are always available across sessions. This data is anonymised, and nothing stored can be traced back to you personally beyond your anonymous user ID. Usage data helps me understand how people use TrackSense so I can make it better.

03

Third parties

TrackSense uses Apple Music to access your listening history and Firebase (Google) for cloud storage, database, and authentication. I don't sell, share, or trade your data with any other third parties.

04

Data storage

Your data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database, hosted by Google. Firebase Auth is used to manage your account securely. I do not store any identifying information that can be tied back to you. I take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no method of storage is 100% secure.

05

Cookies

The TrackSense.fm website uses minimal cookies, just the basics needed to keep the site running smoothly. I don't use cookies to track you across other websites or serve you ads. Cookies don't apply to the app itself, which uses Firebase for data storage instead.

06

Your rights

You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app. If you'd like your cloud data and account permanently removed, email me at russ@tracksense.fm and I'll take care of it promptly. If you're based in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your data.

07

Children

TrackSense is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

08

Changes

If I update this policy, the date at the top of this page will reflect when it was last changed. You can choose to stop using the app any time you disagree with this policy. No hard feelings.
